Soke Shodai Mario
Andrade has just won the
2009 Samurai Spirit
Award.

Greatness shows
through his abilities and skills which he has passed on to his daughter
Graciela who you can read about her great victory in Japan just below.
Soke Andrade has been
in the martial arts longer then most can remember. His hard work
(Two Years worth alone
on his tournament) is more then most would put in to just one area. But
that never stoped him from developing the martial arts in other areas as
well. Soke has become a very well respected martial arts Grand Master, but
not only in South America, but also Japan where he maintains close ties as
well as the United States and other parts of the world.
Soke Andrade is one of
the few " Hard Chargers" in the martial arts community teaching his
students in the old ways of Karate.
CONGRATULATIONS SOKE

Upon his return, on Thursday afternoon yesterday, the Sensei Andrade, said
he felt happy and happy to have fulfilled a dream to get third in the

He noted that the experience was incredible, considering that most
teachers emphasized the high level and he noted, as was the case of the
wife's son who created the school, she was an honor his presence at the
tournament.
We must record that in the same gym where the tournament was developed,
tests were conducted to demonstrate basic techniques, katas and their
application in order to make the ascent in Danish.
After making his presentation, Graciela Andrade Sensei was one of the few
who managed to pass the examination and thus was third dan.
Finally, when asked about whom he dedicates this distinction, he said "my

JJames Moclair, Soke Shodai
Launches his second Kempo book
With such a great response to his
first book " A Breath Of Fresh Air, Novice to Intermediate Kempo Karate".
Soke Moclair has done it again
with his second book in a series. " A Breath of Fresh Air, Intermediate to
Advanced Kempo Karate". Both books bring the true root of Kempo to print.
Heres Amazon.com's editorial
review:
After the success of James's first book, Kempo Karate, novice to
intermediate, the martial art world has waited in eagerness for his next
book. The wait is now over, in this second edition, Kempo karate,
intermediate to advanced, the author has once again shown that he is a
true master of the art of kempo karate by explaining in explicit detail
the intricacies of techniques that have eluded many martial artist's.
What is even more amazing is that James has taken the ideology and
concepts on the fascinating martial art and added his own martial
experience to it to create a style that is unique to him. The system is
a self defence martial art and deals with realistic attacks that are
happening every day, on every street around the world! Each technique
throughout this book flows in a natural martial manner. Add to this the
easy to follow photographic illustrations and vividly written
explanations and what the reader will get is a visual and mental
self-assurance that will inspire them to try these techniques out in
there own martial arts club. What is even more beneficial to the reader
is that once you have tried, practised and mastered these techniques,
you will have the ability to defend yourself against some extreme
attacks. Now that is life saving and has to be priceless! Even if you
yourself are an experienced martial artist, from a completely different
martial background, this book will also benefit you. Some of the
author's techniques are practical but absolutely unique, why not utilize
and adapt them in with your own art or style; you have nothing to lose
and some fantastic self defence concepts to gain.
Both books can be purchased

James Moclair,
Soke
Receives the
"Samurai Spirit Award"
For 2008
Once again on October 27th the
general membership of the Soke Menkyo Kai has voted on who each individual
member feels is worthy of the coveted " Samurai Spirit Award". This years
inductee is none other then James Moclair, Soke.
The only reason it was not a
unanimous vote is because James voted for another and not himself. That's
just the way James is, putting others and the arts and ways first! That
makes for a rare individual, or Grand Master I should say.
James has distinguished himself
in the martial arts community through all of his past contributions
including the books he has authored. Thus contributing to keeping the arts
alive and documented.
All the members of the S.M.K.
congratulate him and treasure him as a member and our European Vice
President / Representative.
